CALL FOR PROPOSALS/GENDER IDENTITY/VIDEOCHANNEL/NEW DEADLINE 1ST MARCH 2006
VideoChannel is looking for video works on the theme
"gender identity". In a times when the traditional role of being "male" and "female" in society has lost its meaning, a male expresses his female, and a female her male components of their personality, when sexuality is not reduced to being straight or gay, but countless mixed forms of human existance can be lived, defining oneself in a gender specific context may become an essential question.
The call is inviting artists to reflect their own or the subject of male, female, gay, lesbian, transgender (etc...) identity via the medium of video.
The deadline is extended to 1 March 2006, as it planned to present the selection of "gender identity" on several video festivals. For being reviewed, the videos should be preferably available online and have to be submitted as URL for download.
After a positive review, the artists/directors may be invited to send the video on a video as mpeg2 file on a data DVD. Running time: 1-5 Minutes, exception may be possible. Each artist can submit only one video for each theme.

1.name of artist(s), email address(es), URL(s)(in case of an artists collective plase credit all participants properly)
2. short biography/CV (not more than 300 words each)
3. 1 work/project only —>title, year of production
c) URL where the video can be reviewed on or is available for download
4. work description (story included, not more than 500 words)
5. screenshot (.jpeg, max. 800x600 px).
Confirmation/authorization:
The submitter(s) declares and confirms that he/she/they is/are holding all rights on the submission and give permission to include the submitted work in "Cinematheque" online/offline environment until revoke.
