CALL FOR PROJECTS FOR THE 11TH CIRC D'HIVERN OF THE ATENEU POPULAR 9 BARRIS
The Circ d’Hivern (Winter Circus) is a production by Bidà³ de Nou Barris, the structure that runs the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris in Barcelona. Year after year, this project has increased and is nowadays a reference in the Barcelona winter holiday calendar.
The last editions gathered nearly 8.000 spectators. The 9th edition show is currently on tour and we are preparing the tour of the 10th Circ d’Hivern.
We propose a call for projects UNTIL APRIL, 15th OF 2006 in order to collect projects for the next Circ d’Hivern, which reaches its 11th edition.
1. The projects must contain the following caracteristics:
The project will be based on a original circus show for all audiences, with a teatral, musical or choregraphic plot. The duration of the show will be around 1h15.
It will contain:
a sinopsis
the technics of circus which will be used.
if possible, a cast.
2. The project musts be thought with the caracteristics of the theatre of the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris.
You can find on our Web site a plan and the dimensions of the hall and the list of the technical equipment we have.
3. The première will take place on December 16th 2006.
4. The project musts take into account the possibility of a posterior exploitation (turn).
5. The executive production of the show will be in charge of the professionnal team of the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris.
6. The selection of the project will be made by the commission of program of the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris.
