Ateneu Popular 9 Barris released a publication about their 25 year history (1977-2002). One of the intentions behind this book was to show the participation of those who have made this history possible, which has been given form thanks to the compilation and editing of Xavier Pérez.
If memory needs to be recorded on paper to be understood and transmitted, then this book is the most useful instrument to describe a history of hopes, efforts and perseverance to reinvent the Ateneu and its continuation for more than a quarter of century.
Under the title “Ateneu Popular 9 Barris: a shared illusion” this book aims to show the evolution of this project-space based on the involvement of a great number of people and dreams.
